An agreement was signed on Tuesday between the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Ministry of Environment and Forests for the development of a management plan of the Ganga river basin called the National Ganga River Basin Management Plan Project (NGBRM).

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Puerto Princesa City signed a memorandum of agreement for the implementation of a $475,000-project for the development of environment policies and plans that will be pilot-tested in the Subterranean River National Park.
