Care Tips for Feather Quilts

Feather quilts are something that many people love.  Unfortunately, they don’t often know how they should take care of these kinds of quilts. They do some things that often will damage their beautiful quilt and sometimes will require them to buy another one. But when you know how to take care of these quilts, that doesn’t have to happen. Here are some tips that you can use for taking care of a feather quilt.

  • Wash your quilt alone.  Save your other laundry for a different load. Wash it in gentle and warm water.  This goes for any washer, no matter how big it is.
  • Don’t use bleach – Use detergent but don’t use bleach when you are washing your quilt. This could really damage your quilt.
  • Remove it quickly – Your quilt should be removed when it’s finished.  It’s going to seem soggy and limp, but it’s going to puff up again nicely when it’s all finished.
  • Dry it – Put your quilt in your dryer on its own. Put three very clean or brand-new tennis balls in the dryer with the quilt. Turn your dryer on for a complete cycle on medium heat.  The tennis balls are going to help fluff up your quilt while it’s drying.

For someone who is looking for home linen items for their home, they can go to www.homelinen.co.uk. They have a lot of things to choose from, from brass curtain poles to mattress protectors. The prices are all very good and so is the selection.
